Wes Pres Wednesday Programming
Have you discovered where you would like to serve at Westminster Presbyterian Church? Wednesday evenings throughout the school year are a time to gather with fellow members of the congregation, and serve the Lord with our gifts. Wes Pres Wednesday usually finds Westminster bursting at the seams as people of all ages from within our community come to serve with a joyful heart. Some simply come to make a joyful noise, while others come to help prepare the dinner that is served to everyone beginning at 5:00 p.m. A full list of activities can be found on the Wes Pres Wednesday Page.
A Strong Mission Emphasis
Each year we host a free Christmas Day dinner open to anyone who would like to attend. Westminster coordinates the “Feed My Starving Children” effort for the greater Cedar Valley. Each year over 770 volunteers pack more than 170,000 meals which will feed over 450 kids 1 meal every day for the next year. We give financial and spiritual support to many other non-profits who operate locally or at the global level. We also have a special relationship with the Protestant University of the Congo.
Sunday School & Fellowship
Following the 9am worship service, enjoy the company and conversation of fellow believers over a cup of coffee in our Welcome Center.
We also offer Sunday School for all ages year round from 10:10am to 11am. Students ages 3 through high school are taught by our excellent team of pastors and teachers. Adult classes are taught each week by our Pastors or varying guest teachers from the area.
Child care is available at no cost throughout Sunday Mornings and Wednesday Evenings. Rest easy and enjoy worship knowing your child is being cared for by a quality child care team, staffed by trained professionals.

Our Worship Services
At Westminster Presbyterian Church, we worship together as a community on Sunday mornings. Throughout the week, each individual within our community worships the Lord by serving and sharing God’s love with others. We offer three different styles of worship services on Sunday mornings, and we put great emphasis on facilitating a strong Christian education program for people of all ages. Services with Communion are held on the first Sunday of each month.
8:15am Lectio Divina: The twenty minute Lectio Divina service in our Chapel is a beautiful contemplative experience, starting with a period of prayer and followed by the prayerful reading of the Scriptures with periods of silence. This encounter with the living Christ by the Spirit often leads us to deep rest and an experience of divine friendship and love.
9am Traditional Worship: The Traditional Worship service is held in our Sanctuary. Each week during our Program Year (September through May) we have music provided by one or more of our music ensembles on a rotating basis including the Adult Chancel Choir, Meisteringers: Adult Handbell Choir, Youth Choir, Youth Handbell Choir, or one of our Children's Choirs. During the Summer months Special Music is offered by our church community. Come worship while singing with the sound of the pipe organ, sitting in the light of the stained glass windows, and hearing the beautiful message of Christ's love shared each Sunday.
11:15am Contemporary Worship: The Contemporary Worship service is held in our Shared Life Center. During the Program Year (September through May) enjoy the sounds of our Youth Handbell or Vocal Choir, or one of our Children's Choirs. Come worship while singing with our contemporary worship praise band, enjoying the relaxed coffee-house environment, and hearing the beautiful message of Christ's love shared each Sunday.
We invite you to worship with us or attend any of our other events. A great deal is happening in the life of our congregation; please check us out!
